Both our governor and city mayor have asked that we not only postpone large gatherings, but also practice social distancing in light of the current spread of COVID-19. The FBC leadership, under the advisement of both these state and local officials, has decided to cancel all church activities through March 31. This also includes all Sunday activities on March 22 & March 29. This decision was made not only to honor the request of our elected officials, but also as a practical way of loving our neighbors by helping stop the spread of this virus.
As we did for March 15, we will post a recording of the week’s worship service by 9AM Sunday morning on our website. Though we are not able to gather together as normal, we encourage you to still worship and hear from God’s word. It’s also important that we take time to pray for and check in on not only our church family, but also our friends and neighbors. This unique situation will likely also present unique opportunities to minister to others.
Know that we are activity monitoring recommendations as they develop. We plan to communicate any updates and changes as soon as possible via email, social media and our website. Please join us we pray and seek God through all of this. There is great hope in knowing that He is still in control.
