“Fourth Commandment: Keep the Sabbath Day Holy”
Exodus 20:8-11
I. God commands the nation Israel to dedicate the Sabbath day for His purposes only (Exodus 20:8-11).
II. Those who believe in Jesus enter Sabbath rest by faith and not workds, thus making no day holier than another (Hebrews 4:1-3a; Colossians 2:16-17 [also see Romans 14:5-12]0.
Main Idea: God’s covenant with Moses required Israel to set apart the Sabbath for God, but Christians are to set apart all days for God.
