God’s Judgment Against Rebellion Is Sure | Isaiah 13:1 – 14:27
I. The destruction of historical Babylon points to a future, final judgment of the Gentile nations who stand in rebellion against God (Isaiah 13:1 – 14:23; also see Genesis 11:1-9; Zechariah 5:11; and Revelation chapters 17-18).
II. The destruction of Assyria points to God’s final judgment against rebellion and no one can stop Him (Isaiah 14:24-27).
Main Idea: God’s judgment of all who rebel against Him is sure.
