“Jesus’ Authority over Satan and Sin”
I. The disciples wondered who Jesus was (see v. 27), but the demons knew His authority as the Son of God (Matthew 8:28-34).
II. Jesus showed His authority as the Son of God to forgive sin by healing the paralyzed man (Matthew 9:1-8).
Main Idea: King Jesus’ authority over Satan and sin affirms His future kingdom reign.
