Jesus’ Genealogy: His Right to the Throne
Matthew 1:1-17
I. Jesus’ genealogy shows that He is the promised Messiah in fulfillment of the Old Testament covenants (Matthew 1:1, 6, 16-17).
II. Jesus’ genealogy shows that God’s working with people is all about His grace (Matthew 1:3-6).
Main Idea: Jesus’ genealogy shows His legal right to the throne of David in fulfillment of the Old Testament covenants.
