Matthew 1:3-5a; Genesis 38:6-26; Joshua 2:1-21; 6:22-25; Hebrews 11:31; James 2:25
I. The first two women (i.e., Tamar and Rahab) listed in the genealogy of Jesus took steps of faith (Matthew 1:3-5a; Hebrews 11:31; also see James 2:25).
II. When God’s people refuse to do what they should others may act desperately to do what they know is right (Genesis 38:6-26).
III. God graciously accepts anyone who responds to Him by faith (Joshua 2:1-21; 6:22-25).
Main Idea: Anyone can take a step of faith and God will honor it.
